Identity and credit rating when selecting BillPay payment methods

If you choose one of the payment options from our partner Billpay GmbH, you will be asked during the order process, to consent to a credit and identity check, in order for the necessary payment process data to be transferred to BillPay. When you have given your consent, your personal data (name, surname, street, house number, postcode, city, date of birth, phone number and the purchase by direct debit with the specified bank account) as well as the data received in connection with your order to BillPay. For purposes of your identity and credit rating, Billpay, or a nominated Billpay partner will forward the data onto a credit agency (credit bureau) and with this information receives credit rating checks, based on mathematical statistics, included in their calculation, among other, address data. This detailed information from the credit bureau, is used as a reference for the privacy policy Billpay GmbH. Furthermore, Billpay may use a third party tool if necessary, to detect and prevent fraud. Data obtained with these tools may be stored with a third party, encrypted so that they are readable only by BillPay. Only when you select a method of payment is this data required by our partner Billpay, otherwise the data will automatically expire after 30 minutes.
