Description

The new Scarpa Phantom 8000 in the L version is still an amazingly light expedition mountaineering boot. Its multi-layer construction of very high gaiter, supportive inner shell and removable inner boot, is entirely waterproof and made from outstanding heat retention - and now with a wider gaiter.

The fully crampon-compatible, reliably stiffened sole is also indispensable for high-altitude mountaineering - in the case of this model, it is exceptionally light and also very well-insulating.

Optimally equipped for extreme mountaineering in frosty temperatures and wind, the 8000 boot already has PrimaLoft® insulation in the waterproof gaiter. Still, the inner shell and inner boot are also kitted out with lightweight and highly effective high-end cold protection. From the all-round scree protection to the highly abrasion-resistant schoeller® S-Tech material of the gaiter to the easy-to-use 2-part quick lacing system of the firm, supportive inner shell - all details interlock perfectly and support alpinists uncompromisingly in high-altitude mountaineering.

The multi-layered sole of the Phantom 8000, which is made from cushioning, insulating, heat-reflecting and stabilising elements, is also designed for maximum performance and the best possible comfort. The term Vibram® Newflex stands for an exceptionally light sole construction that provides optimum grip in steep high mountains and is, of course designed for wearing crampons.
