<p data-start="442" data-end="800">The DAS Light Shorts by Patagonia have been specially developed for alpine activities where quick response, lightweight packing and effective thermal performance are essential. Designed as an insulating layer that you can pull on, they offer you comfortable protection in the event of a sudden drop in temperature - be it during climbing breaks, bivouacs or summit assaults.</p> <p data-start="802" data-end="1324">The outer material is made from an ultra-light, tear-resistant fabric with a water-repellent coating that provides surprisingly robust weather protection. Inside, synthetic insulation with a down-like structure ensures high thermal performance with minimal weight - and remains reliably warm even when it gets damp. The special chamber construction on the inside stabilizes the material without using unnecessary seams. This preserves the insulation power and minimizes cold bridges.</p> <p data-start="1326" data-end="1640">Thanks to full-length side zippers, the shorts can be opened completely and taken on and off directly over boots, a climbing harness or hardshell trousers - a huge advantage in changing conditions. The elastic waistband with zipper and press stud ensures a secure fit without constricting.</p>
