SCARPA: it's impossible to imagine our feet without it

The name Scarpa may not immediately suggest the origin of the brand. But if you know, this is just the acronym for Società Calzaturieri Asolani Riuniti Pedemontana Anonima; you'll get closer. The name symbolizes the association of several shoemakers made from the Asolo region in northern Italy, founded by businessman Rupert Guinnes in 1938. When the Parisotto brothers took over the company in 1956, it became Italian-owned.

Scarpa: from the provinces to the 8000-metre peaks of the world

Scarpa's course also changed with the change of ownership: a clear focus on mountain sports shoes laid the foundation for the shoe manufacturer's dominant expertise today. When you think of Scarpa today, you think of mountain shoes. True to its motto "No place too far", Scarpa now has production facilities in China, Romania and Serbia. However, hundreds of shoes are also made daily in Asolo itself. The product portfolio ranges from super comfortable urban sneakers to high-end expedition boots and Scarpa climbing shoes that world-class climbers swear by. For missions far above the 8,000-meter mark, the boots must stand up to the feet of renowned greats such as extreme mountaineer Nirmal Purja "Nimsdai."

Scarpa Classics

Scarpa is one of the few mountain boot brands that covers all outdoor activities: climbing, mountaineering, trail running, walking, trekking, and approach. Anyone who enjoys being out and about in the mountains in winter knows that Scarpa significantly influences the market with its ski-touring boot collection. And what runs through the entire product range: performance, comfort, and maximum durability! Anyone with a Scarpa mountaineering boot at home knows what we are talking about here.

In addition to technical mountaineering boots such as the well-known Ribelle series and the legendary Scarpa Mojito everyday sneaker, the F1 family and the Maestrale series dominate the ski touring sector. In climbing, Scarpa scores with entry-level shoes through to performance boosters seen in every World Cup. So, if you don't have a Scarpa shoe at home yet, it can't be because of the brand!

Green manifesto for our mountain world

When it comes to sustainability, Scarpa lets innovative actions speak for themselves. Instead of discussing their goals, the manufacturer has developed a biodegradable version of the classic Mojito Bio. This means the shoe can be 100% biodegraded in industrial composting plants. With their Re-Shoe project, used Mojitos are collected again and converted into secondary raw materials in a recycling system.

The brand is also boosting the circular economy in the ski touring sector. With a re-made limited edition of the Maestrale, the company is launching a ski touring boot made from production leftovers that save 27% of CO2 emissions compared to traditional styles.

Scarpa's sustainability philosophy is reflected in these projects and in its products' high quality and durability. An official resole system is designed to help you keep your favorite shoes!
