Yeti Coolers: From Texas to the world

The Yeti story begins in 2006 in Austin, Texas, when brothers Roy and Ryan Seiders launched the brand. The two avid anglers and outdoor enthusiasts were frustrated by the cool boxes' poor quality. Most models could not withstand the harsh demands of wilderness adventures or resist temperature or shocks. So they decided to develop a cooler themselves that was rugged enough to withstand the elements while keeping drinks and food cool longer.

With this in mind, they created the first Yeti cooler, quickly gaining recognition in outdoor circles for its durability and excellent cooling performance. Yeti didn't stop at coolers, however – over the years, the range grew, and the brand expanded its offering to include water bottles, bags, and other outdoor accessories that stand out for their innovative design and quality.

Outstanding products and innovations from Yeti

The Tundra coolers are among Yeti's most well-known and outstanding products. Thanks to rotomolding technology, they are almost indestructible and set new standards in terms of durability. Thick walls and extra-thick insulation ensure that the ice in these coolers will not melt for days. Whether you are an angler, a camper, or on a multi-day expedition, the Tundra cooler is a reliable companion in extreme conditions.

Yeti's other flagship product is the Rambler series of bottles and mugs. With double-walled vacuum insulation, the Rambler keeps both cold drinks ice-cold and hot drinks warm for a long time. This insulation technology and durable materials have earned Yeti a reputation as a manufacturer of the best outdoor drinking vessels.

In addition to these classic products, Yeti has also developed accessories tailored to the needs of outdoor enthusiasts. These include sturdy carrying bags, waterproof bags and versatile camping furniture, all designed for maximum functionality and durability.

Sustainability at Yeti

Sustainability is becoming increasingly important for Yeti. The brand is aware of its responsibility to offer environmentally friendly products that minimize the ecological footprint. One of Yeti's central principles is to create high-quality products that last a lifetime. This longevity reduces the need for disposable items and thus curbs the production of waste.

In addition, Yeti relies on environmentally friendly production methods and strives to minimize resource consumption in all phases of production. The company also works on environmentally friendly packaging solutions to reduce plastic consumption.

Another aspect of Yeti's commitment to sustainability is its support for nature conservation initiatives. The brand works with organizations committed to preserving wilderness areas and protecting ecosystems. In this way, Yeti actively contributes to conserving the natural environment in which its products are used.

Yeti: Sponsored athletes and events

Yeti has developed a close connection to the outdoor community over the years and sponsors a variety of athletes and adventurers who embody the brand's values. These partnerships and sponsorships help Yeti test its products in real, often extreme conditions while also supporting the outdoor community.

Some well-known sponsored athletes include Jimmy Chin, Conrad Anker, Travis Rice, Nadine Wallner, and Alexander Megos. In addition to individual athletes, Yeti also supports major outdoor and adventure events. Some of the most well-known sponsored events include the GoPro Mountain Games, a festival centered around outdoor sports such as climbing, kayaking, and trail running. Yeti also sponsors the Freeride World Tour

Yeti has grown from a small company to a leading provider of premium outdoor equipment. The brand stands for innovation, quality, and durability and has firmly established itself in the outdoor scene. Thanks to its sustainable production approaches, support for conservation initiatives, and sponsorship of athletes and events, Yeti remains a pioneer in adventure and outdoor equipment.
